Believe me, you have no idea what it means to be a person from a country with a bad image and a serious case of global and local ignorance upon it. Whenever I say where I'm from it's such an awful reaction. It makes me really upset. It's like the second question after they ask for my name.. and after they hear my fatherland they just fail to have any interest in my personality whatsoever. It's like I don't have a personality.. it's like it's not of any importance. It's like what matters is race and nationality. I'm not doing anymore. I use some random name. I'm not telling where I come from anymore, not even if the beg me too. That's the only way I can have freedom for who I really am.. good or bad.. right or wrong.. just me. Most of the people think I'm Belgian because of my accent... and alone that little (but wrong) assumption makes them accept me and not go all racist and elitist on me. It's weird but it does wonders on my social contacts. Pity I don't know any French.. but in the future I will.
